The design of the G3 Max combines beauty and practicality. G3 Max adopts the gravity balance and pressure distributed head-mounted design. Pressure is evenly distributed in different positions of the head, greatly reducing the pressure on the face and you won't feel fatigued even with prolonged use. The headset can also be flipped up for easy wearing.

The compact appearance of the G3 Max is designed for long periods of movie watching and gaming. It weighs only 300g which is the lightest in its class.

In order to provide a comfortable wearing experience, the G3 Max is equipped with a detachable silicone face mask which is soft on the face and comfortable. It can also block out ambient light completely, allowing for a more immersive experience without causing fatigue during extended entertainment and gaming sessions.

What if you wear glasses and want to use the G3 Max? Don't worry, we have taken this into account. The G3 Max is equipped with 2D~-7D diopter adjustment and 56mm-72mm adjustable pupillary distance, so you can adjust it according to your own parameters and needs. The value of adjustment is also clearly displayed on the screen.

Its a great product and concept

The Goovis G3 is a great product. Its great for watching movies on a big clear screen. The colors are deep & bright. The picture is clear and crisp. The lenses do not obstruct viewing.
I wouldnt say its like watching a movie on a imax 1000 screen. To put it in my perspective its like sitting 5ft away from a 10x15 foot screen. The FOV is not as encompassing as a VR headset but is still wide enough for an immersive like experience. I gave it 4 stars for the price which since its a great product is not worth almost $1000 just for the headset. The headset should be priced around $450 -$500.

A GREAT UPGRADE

I was very happy with my GOOVIS PRO but when Goovis announced the G3 MAX I decided to upgrade to the new model. After a few hours I can confirm it's a very big upgrade from the (still great) PRO model.

COMFORT: with the standard headband it's way more comfortable and there is no pressure at all on the face and in the nose (which was something I was not 100% happy with the old model). I have also ordered the zero-pressure headband (still waiting to receive it) but, after more than 3 hours spent watching Titanic 3D blu ray, I can confirm the comfort is really good.

MASK: that's another great improvement as the PRO let some light in while watching. The new silicone mask blocks all light and gives to you an authentic cinematic experience. Ordered also the sponge one to see if there is any difference in comfort.

PICTURE SIZE AND QUALITY: The screen is HUGE, I was happy with the 800' image of the PRO but the 1000' is really outstanding, I think this is the limit as a bigger screen will be useless (sometimes I had to reduce the screen dimension because it was too big!). Picture quality is FANTASTIC (it's not just marketing but a real improvement) and there are no more distorsions or blurry edges on the image which is simply perfect. Love the saturated colors of the OLEDs.

AUDIO: it's nice to have the possibility to hear also audio (which I like on my ROKID AIR glasses) but do not expect surround sound. To watch movies it's better a pair of wireless headbuds or the fantastic real surround sound provided by SONY HW-700 headphones.

Last words for the D4 unit. This is simply fantastic, I have been trying different solutions to watch movies on the go with my GOOVIS (i.e. a FIRE TV MAX connected to a portable power bank) but the D4 is what I have been looking for since a lot of time. Disney, Prime and Netflix (FINALLY a dongle certified !!!!!), PLEX and VLC to play mkvs and a single cable providing image and power. It's a pity you still need an HDMI to USBC converter (it's provided with the G3 MAX) but as far as I know they could not have the NETFLIX certification with a USB-C output so it's still HDMI; it's also a pity they could not avoid the remote as for the D3.
